Safety Classes and Information
Safety classes are available to member districts for free, taught on your site, and according to your schedule.
The goal of STSIG Loss Prevention is to make safety training dynamic, effective, and informative.
To Request Training:
- Determine what date/time you would like the training conducted
- Decide which class or classes you would like to receive (see the Safety Class Catalog)
- Identify a location at your site
- Estimate how many employees will attend the training
- Send Loss Prevention (Mike Berry) the information by email or call 530-221-6444
REMEMBER: There are several mandatory trainings required annually, including Blood Borne Pathogens, Hazardous Communication, Integrated Pest Management, Fire Safety, Asbestos Awareness, and more depending on the job position.
The STSIG Safety Focus Calendar is a guide to help you decide which safety classes you can choose from depending on the time of year. You are not constrained by the monthly topics; please feel free to choose whatever class you want whenever you want. You can even request classes that are not on the list.
A quality safety program impacts the entire JPA membership. It is our hope to create a positive, collaborative atmosphere that is supportive to our districts as we strive toward improved employee engagement and safety.
